On Saturday I went for a walk around Central Park. It was freezing, yet lots of people didn't seem to care about the cold. This is one of the things that shocked me most at first in this city: people can adapt and get used to any weather. Provided they have good clothes and technology to put up with whatever Mother Nature has in store for them, people will do what they have to do: work, fun, study, etc.
I made a stop at Strawberry fields, were I could enjoy the silence, and when I hit the spot were John Lennon is honored, I had an emotional moment.
Then, I went to the Reservoir, which was frozen. The lake was white and beautiful, runners jogged around it, I wished I liked running so I could enjoy doing sports outdoors in the winter like them.
It is amazing that a city has a park like this. I'm willing to visit Brooklyn and check Prospect Park, which I heard is also breathtaking.

  2. Hi! Lina, I went for a walk to Central Park, too. Although it was freezing, I didn’t care about the cold because I was very excited but I was shocked when I arrived here and saw people walking in the street like us in Buenos Aires, no matter the weather.
